Class sizes vary based on the age of the children and the size of the classroom.

We offer a breakfast snack, lunch, and a pm snack. All foods that we offer are approved by the USDA and the CACFP. Children that are ages 12 to 24 months are offered whole milk. Once children are 24 months of age, they are offered 2% milk.

Yes, we would like for you to call, if possible, by 9:00 AM, so that we have an accurate count of meals to prepare for lunch and snacks.

Potty training can start as early as room 4. Our main room for potty training is room 5 (our young 2 year olds class). Potty training often depends on the child. The age children are ready to potty train varies.

Parents must fill out a medication permission form, sign, and provide it to your child's teacher. Please provide a specific dosage amount and time, '"as needed " is not acceptable by state laws. All medicine must be in the original container marked with the child's name, amount to be given, how often to give, pharmacy label, and the name of the medication.

Yes! All students participate in our Enrichment Program. This includes Music, Spanish, Science, Art, and Sign Language classes at no additional cost.

We use the Creative Curriculum® for Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers based on its developmentally appropriate approach to learning.

The creative curriculum focuses on children learning by providing opportunities for creative thinking, problem solving, experiencing and exploring their environment.

It is our upmost importance to provide an environment that is safe and secure for children, families and staff, therefore, we have administrative staff at the front desk for the duration of every day also Hawfields Childcare Center is equipped with a 24 hour video surveillance system. Our security system is installed and in all classrooms, hallways, kitchen, outside play areas, and parking lots.

You have to pay for the entire week even if your child does not go the full week. This applies to when you go on vacation, your child is sick, or if we are closed due to a holiday. The only exception is if we do not offer a full week of summer camp due to school starting or ending during the week, then we will prorate tuition. Our summer camp does offer drop ins for a fee as long as we do not have a full enrollment.
